How do I upload my Web pages using Frontpage?Microsoft Frontpage calls uploading Web pages to the Host Server 'Publishing'. This is particularly strange as Microsoft has a Desk-Top Publishing program called 'Publisher'. Now that you have the basics for designing your Web site you must define the purpose of your Web site Frontpage includes an FTP program that simplifies uploading your Web pages to your Host Server. File > Publish Web > You will then be asked to provide your user name and password. These details will be provided by your Web Host:- When these have been correctly entered, click on the 'OK' button and the pages developed on your computer will appear on the left side. The first time that you wish to upload some Web pages, the right side will be blank as there will be no pages on the server. Subsequently, the pages that have been submitted will appear on the right side. The following Figure shows my files that are on my computer on the left side and the pages that have been uploaded on the right. When you press the enter (return) key, Frontpage will compare the pages on your computer with those already uploaded and then upload the new pages and pages that have been updated to your host. It will also advise you if you have pages on the server that are not currently on your computer and offer you choices.
