What is ‘The World Wide Web’?

The World Wide Web – The ‘Web’ – is the collection of all the Web sites around the globe that can be accessed by anyone with a computer linked to the Internet. From the late 1990s the Internet has flourished as computers access the Web with programs called Web browsers (e.g. Microsoft Explorer; Netscape) that provide friendly (easy to use) graphical access. The wealth of information that anyone can find freely or cheaply is just one of the reasons that the World Wide Web has become so popular.

If you do not yet have a Web site, now is the time. First Web site Design is here to help you whether you choose to have the Web site produced professionally or if you design it yourself.

Having a Web site is like having your billboard on the Internet highway.
