What is interactivity?
Interactivity could allow visitors to your Web site to:
They may do so to:
-
tell you what they thought about your site.
-
write to you for advice.
-
share information with other visitors to your site.
-
provide you with specific feedback.
-
request news sheets that you offer on a regular basis.
-
purchase from your on-line shop.
A
search box on your site
allows your visitors to look for particular information on your site.
You may find software that will provide guestbook and message board
facilities on the Web. It is usually simply a matter of introducing a small HTML
code from their pages onto yours. Most of the coding will be held on their
computer server but this will appear to be seamless with your Web pages from the
perspective of your visitors.
How can I introduce a form for visitors to complete.
Forms are usually part of Web authoring packages. There are four ways that
answers to questions can be entered:
- A checkbox (a square with a tick).
- 'Radio' button (a circle that can be clicked to enter a black dot).
- Drop-down menu list.
- Free text area.
Finally there should be a 'submit' button that users press when they have
completed the form and wish to sent the information to you.
